Job Purpose
Maintain a clean, hygienic, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the school premises.
Carry out cleaning and housekeeping duties to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, staff rooms, washrooms, laboratories, libraries, and other assigned areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors and other surfaces regularly.
- Clean and disinfect toilets, washbasins, doors, windows, and frequently touched surfaces.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of waste properly in designated areas.
- Refill soap, tissue paper, hand sanitizer, and other washroom supplies when required.
- Clean furniture, desks, chairs, shelves, doors, and other school fixtures.
- Ensure classrooms and common areas are ready before the start of the school day.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, leakages, and safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely according to school procedures.
- Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment after use.
- Assist with facility cleaning before and after events, meetings, examinations, and other activities.
- Follow cleaning schedules and complete duties within the required time.
Conduct and Safety Requirements
- Follow school health, safety, hygiene, safeguarding, and security procedures.
