Job Purpose
Prepare high-quality Arabic and Middle Eastern dishes in a school or institutional kitchen.
Maintain food quality, hygiene, safety, presentation, portion control, and dietary requirements.
Food Preparation and Cooking
- Prepare and cook traditional Arabic and Middle Eastern dishes such as machboos, mandi, kabsa, harees, thareed, saloona, grilled meats, soups, rice dishes, salads, and desserts.
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and menu requirements.
- Ensure food is properly cooked and served at the appropriate temperature.
- Maintain consistent taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
- Follow approved recipes and standardized cooking procedures.
- Prepare meals according to the daily menu and required quantities.
Menu and Meal Planning
- Assist the Kitchen Supervisor or Chef with Arabic menu preparation and suggestions.
- Prepare sufficient ingredients for daily meals.
- Adjust preparation according to the number of people being served.
- Support special events, functions, and catering requirements when needed.
