Manage customer expectations while delivering exceptional service throughout the claims journey.
Ensure claims are managed in accordance with:
ASIC Claims Handling obligations
AFSL requirements
Internal claim philosophy
Policy terms
Regulatory obligations
Apply procedural fairness and natural justice principles when making claim decisions.
Maintain accurate claim records and legal documentation.
Identify trends and emerging legal risks to improve policy wording and underwriting practices.
Collaborate with colleagues across the business to achieve team and organisational objectives.
Actively participate in team meetings, sharing ideas and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Support knowledge-sharing and mentoring to strengthen team capability and foster a culture of continuous learning.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
Participate in team-building activities, social events and company initiatives that promote collaboration, engagement and a positive workplace culture both within and outside the office environment.
Support the broader Claims team by assisting with administrative and operational tasks as required.
Undertake any other duties reasonably required to contribute to the efficient operation and ongoing success of the business.

Report all safety hazards, incidents, near misses and injuries
Maintain a clear and orderly work area
Previous experience in:
- Property Insurance
- General Insurance
- Local Government Planning
Experience interpreting legislation and case law.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements including ASIC, APRA and AFCA.
Tertiary background essential.
Outcome focused – able to overcome obstacles and deliver designated outcomes.
Ability to adapt to sudden changes in volume of work
