Civil/ Mechanical Project Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily civil construction activities.
• Coordinate surveying and setting-out works.
• Manage earthwork, excavation, backfilling, grading, and compaction.
• Ensure construction follows approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and site teams.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and daily progress.
• Check quantities and assist with BOQ measurements and progress reports.
• Ensure quality control and safe working practices.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and maintain site records.
• Resolve site issues with the Project Manager.
• Monitor schedules and planned completion timelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of civil construction and site execution is required.
• Good knowledge of surveying and setting-out is required.
• Practical earthwork and excavation experience is required.
• Knowledge of concrete, foundations, masonry, waterproofing, and general civil works is required.
• Ability to read civil drawings, BOQ, and specifications is required.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Good communication and coordination skills are required.
• Ability to manage site activities independently is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three to five years of construction experience is preferred.
• UAE or GCC construction experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Total Station and Auto Level equipment is preferred.
• A valid UAE driving license is advantageous.
