Responsibilities
- Ensure all construction works are performed in strict accordance with plans and specifications
- Report any failure of the Contractor to perform work as per drawings and specifications
- Maintain a detailed diary of daily work activities, issues, work approved or rejected
- Interface with the public and stakeholders to mitigate construction impacts
- Coordinate with contractor's site engineers on daily basis
- Coordinate with other discipline inspectors for sampling and testing
- Coordinate with Surveyors to check line and grade of work
- Process Inspection Requests and maintain records
- Maintain detailed records of work performed on Day Works basis
- Participate in health and safety issues at site
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil or Construction Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in road/infrastructure including wet utilities construction supervision
- Ability to read shop drawings, method statements, and construction specifications
- Fully computer literate
- Good written and oral communication skills
- ADM / DMT projects experience preferred

Job Overview
- Parsons is looking for a civil inspector (infrastructure) to perform continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
What You'll Be Doing
- Ensure that all construction works are performed in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
- Report to the ARE or RE any failure of the Contractor to perform the work as per the drawings and specifications.
- Maintain a detailed diary of the day’s work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, etc.
- Interface with the public and stakeholders adjacent to the work to mitigate construction impacts.
- Coordinate with the contractor’s site engineers on a daily basis.
- Coordinate with other disciplines inspectors for sampling and testing.
- Coordinate with Surveyors to check line and grade of work.
- Report questionable methods of operation by the Contractor.
- Process Inspection Requests and maintain records.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed on a Day Works basis.
- Act positively and participate in all health and safety issues at site.
- Act in a professional way but firm in dealings with the Contractor.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil or Construction Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of demonstrable experience in road/infrastructure including wet utilities construction supervision.
- Must be able to read shop drawings, method statements and construction specifications.
- Must be fully computer literate.
- Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- ADM / DMT projects experience preferred.
