Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of civil and structural works for a high-rise, five-star hotel renovation.
- Inspect demolition, temporary propping, concrete chipping, reinforcement, formwork, embedded items, concrete placement, curing, and finished concrete.
- Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection plans, and the Saudi Building Code.
- Witness concrete sampling, cube testing, core extraction, pull-off testing, and other destructive and non-destructive tests.
- Inspect concrete repairs, crack injection, grout, repair mortars, CFRP bonding, structural strengthening, and waterproofing.
- Confirm approved materials are properly stored, handled, and installed.
- Identify defects, report non-compliance, monitor corrective actions, and reinspect completed rectification.
- Coordinate inspections with contractors, surveyors, and independent testing laboratories.
- Maintain inspection reports, photographs, test results, site observations, manpower records, equipment records, and progress information.
- Assist with snagging, de-snagging, as-built verification, and final handover inspections.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related discipline.
- Valid Saudi Council of Engineers registration in the applicable Technician or Engineering category is mandatory.
- At least 12 years of on-site civil and structural inspection experience is required.
- High-rise, major renovation, or structural rehabilitation project experience is required.
- Experience with demolition, concrete repair, reinforcement, structural strengthening, temporary propping, CFRP, grout injection, repair mortars, and waterproofing is required.
- Knowledge of concrete placement, testing, curing, repair, quality control, the Saudi Building Code, ASTM, and British Standards is required.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, method statements, and inspection plans is required.
- Consultancy or construction supervision consultant experience is required.
- Experience coordinating with independent testing laboratories and witnessing construction-material tests is required.
- Madinah Central Area or similar congested-location experience is preferred.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing certification or an equivalent inspection qualification is preferred.
- Good written and spoken English is required; Arabic is an advantage.

- The project is a high-rise, five-star hotel renovation in Madinah and includes sensitive, congested site conditions.
