About the Role
Parsons is seeking a Civil Inspector to perform surveillance of construction activities for infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role requires a diploma/degree in Civil Engineering and at least 7 years of experience in construction supervision of roads, highways, pump stations, and utilities.

Responsibilities
- Conduct tests to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications, including civil and structural tests such as soil compaction, moisture content, concrete slump, etc.
- Perform surveillance of underground piping to ensure tightness, bedding, and grade
- Inspect and monitor piling installation to ensure location and bearing
- Validate piping systems, including P&ID checks and hydraulic or other pressure tests
- Inspect electrical installations to ensure proper grounding, circuit integrity, and adherence to regulations
- Perform continuing inspection of painting and insulation to ensure thickness and coverage continuity
- Provide general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship
- Verify equipment alignment and balancing operations
- Participate in the development of quality control reports and procedures
- Participate in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports
- May administer welder qualification tests
Requirements
- Diploma (3 Year) or Degree in Civil Engineering discipline
- Minimum 7 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects including Roads, Highways, pump stations & Utilities
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the UAE
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications
- Thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment
- Good written and oral communication skills in English

- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Inspector to join our team.
- In this role you will perform continuous surveillance of assigned inspection activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conducts tests to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications and may include any of the following: Performs civil and structural tests, such as soil compaction, moisture content, aggregation, graduation, concrete slump, air entrainment, concrete compression, lines and

- Inspects and monitors piling installation to ensure location and bearing.
- Validates piping systems, including P&ID checks and hydraulic or other pressure tests.
- Inspects electrical installations to ensure proper grounding, circuit integrity, and adherence to statutory and customer regulations.
- Performs continuing inspection of painting and insulation to ensure thickness and coverage continuity.
- Provides general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
- Verifies equipment alignment and balancing operations. Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures
- Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports.

- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- A diploma (3 Years)/Degree in Civil Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects including Roads, Highways, pump stations & Utilities, preferably in the UAE and a minimum 3 years experience
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
