Requirements

- 5+ years of related experience in construction and supervision of Irrigation, Landscaping, and Infrastructure works
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Proficiency with basic computer usage, Microsoft Office, and Project Management Software

Job Description
- Parsons is hiring a Civil Inspector for Sharjah, UAE to perform inspection tasks on complex construction projects.
- The role involves inspecting various facets of work on the construction site and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct tests to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications, including civil and structural tests.
- Perform destructive and nondestructive tests on metals and other materials.
- Perform surveillance of underground piping to ensure tightness, bedding, and grade.
- Inspect and monitor piling installation to ensure location and bearing.
- Validate piping systems, including P&ID checks and hydraulic or other pressure tests.
- Inspect electrical installations to ensure proper grounding, circuit integrity, and adherence to regulations.
- Perform continuing inspection of painting and insulation.
- Provide general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks.
- Verify equipment alignment and balancing operations.
- Participate in development of quality control reports and safety reports.
- May administer welder qualification tests.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, or construction related field, or high school diploma with equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of related experience in construction and supervision of Irrigation, Landscaping, and Infrastructure works.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Proficiency with basic computer usage, Microsoft Office, Project Management Software.
- Recent experience in Irrigation works in the Emirate of Dubai is an added advantage.
