The Civil Foreman supervises daily operational works at a construction site.
The role works under the direction of the Site Engineer or Project Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate foundation layout, formwork, concreting, masonry, bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering, and painting activities.
- Ensure diligent use of materials and reduce material wastage at the site.
- Supervise work crews and optimize the use of manpower and materials.
- Enforce site discipline and prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices, idleness, and tardiness.
- Ensure site works are delivered according to the program.
- Ensure work crews are supplied with tools, equipment, and materials.
- Handle and resolve disputes among workers concerning company and work-related matters.
- Enforce company safety and QA/QC procedures and regulations.
- Monitor labour attendance and productivity.
Requirements
- Ability to supervise daily site operational works as directed by the Site Engineer or Project Engineer.
- Experience coordinating civil activities including foundation layout, formwork, concreting, masonry, bricklaying, carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering, and painting.
- Ability to manage manpower and materials efficiently and reduce material wastage.
- Ability to enforce site safety and QA/QC procedures with the workforce.
- Ability to monitor labour attendance and productivity.
- Ability to resolve work-related disputes among workers.
