Role Overview
AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its Transportation Department in the Greenville, South Carolina office.
The role supports transportation, site development, and stormwater engineering projects from initial concepts through detailed design and construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze stormwater management systems for site development projects.
- Size and design stormwater detention and retention basins and prepare drainage calculations and reports.
- Review municipal, county, and state stormwater ordinances and coordinate drainage requirements with site civil designers.
- Perform assigned engineering calculations, routine tests, data gathering, and discrepancy identification using established procedures.
- Provide guidance to entry-level engineers and complete work within agreed budgets and schedules with moderate supervision.
- Create models and plan sheets with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Design roadways or general site development features.
- Develop quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and technical specifications for contractors.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering plus two years of relevant civil engineering experience, or demonstrated equivalency of education and experience.
