About the Role
Basatin Landscaping SPLLC seeks a Civil 3D Draughtsman for full-time work in Abu Dhabi. The role involves preparing detailed 2D and 3D drawings for landscape and infrastructure projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for landscape, infrastructure, and site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Generate plans, sections, profiles, and details for grading, road layouts, utilities, stormwater drainage, and irrigation networks
- Produce accurate landscape construction drawings, including hardscape and softscape elements
- Create and manage digital terrain models (DTM), surfaces, alignments, corridors, and pipe networks in Civil 3D
- Develop cut/fill analysis, grading plans, and slope analysis for landscape contouring and earthworks planning
- Prepare and organize drawing packages for client submissions, authority approvals, and site use
- Collaborate with landscape architects, engineers, and project managers to understand design intent and incorporate feedback
- Coordinate with MEP, civil, and structural teams to ensure drawing accuracy and avoid clashes or design conflicts
- Conduct self checks and peer reviews to ensure precision, clarity, and consistency across drawing sets
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting Technology, Architecture, or a related field
- Minimum of 4–6 years of experience as a Draughtsman in landscaping, civil infrastructure, or construction industry
- At least 3 years of hands on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for creating topographic models, grading plans, utility layouts, and drainage networks
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including creation of surfaces, alignments, profiles, pipe networks, and grading models
- Strong command of 2D and 3D drafting for infrastructure, hardscape, and landscape design
- Ability to generate accurate cut/fill analysis, slope maps, and cross sections
- Skilled in producing detailed construction drawings, shop drawings, and as built documentation
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related drafting tools (e.g., Navisworks, InfraWorks, ReCap)
- Familiarity with UAE authorities’ drafting standards (e.g., ADM, Dubai Municipality, DDA)
- Understanding of landscape construction methods, irrigation system layouts, and drainage principles

Technical Drafting and Design
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for landscape, infrastructure, and site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Generate plans, sections, profiles, and details for grading, road layouts, utilities, stormwater drainage, and irrigation networks.
- Produce accurate landscape construction drawings, including hardscape and softscape elements.
Modelling and Surface Creation
- Create and manage digital terrain models (DTM), surfaces, alignments, corridors, and pipe networks in Civil 3D.
- Develop cut/fill analysis, grading plans, and slope analysis for landscape contouring and earthworks planning.
- Ensure models are optimized and well structured for collaboration and file sharing.
Documentation and File Management
- Prepare and organize drawing packages for client submissions, authority approvals, and site use.
- Maintain up to date CAD standards, layer management, file naming, and drawing protocols in line with company guidelines.
- Support in compiling as built drawings, shop drawings, and record documentation for project closeout.
Coordination and Collaboration
- Collaborate with landscape architects, engineers, and project managers to understand design intent and incorporate feedback.
- Coordinate with MEP, civil, and structural teams to ensure drawing accuracy and avoid clashes or design conflicts.
- Incorporate redlines and revisions accurately and efficiently based on review comments.
Quality Control and Standards
- Ensure all drawings adhere to project specifications, client requirements, and municipal/regulatory standards.
- Conduct self checks and peer reviews to ensure precision, clarity, and consistency across drawing sets.
- Follow best practices for file organization, version control, and drawing archiving.
Software Use and Development
- Utilize advanced features of AutoCAD Civil 3D, including dynamic blocks, labels, and data shortcuts.
- Stay updated with the latest tools, plugins, and drafting standards in landscape and civil engineering projects.
- Support implementation of BIM/CAD workflows where applicable.
Project Support
- Contribute to tender drawing preparation, quantity take offs, and design presentations.
- Assist with drawing updates during construction to reflect site conditions and change orders.
- Support field teams with clear, accurate, and timely drawings to guide execution.
Occupational and workplace Health and Safety responsibilities
- Adhere to all Basatin health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, practices, and relevant legal and statutory requirements.
- Familiarize yourself with these policies and stay updated with all updates and new additions.

- Ensure whoever handles sensitive company information have taken the Security Awareness Training.

Qualifications

- Competent in Microsoft Office for report and schedule coordination.
- High level of accuracy in detailing, scaling, and dimensioning.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings and translate concepts into working designs.
