myZoi is a fintech start-up focused on financial inclusion and access to affordable, convenient, and transparent financial services.
The Chief Technology Officer role is based in the UAE and is responsible for technology leadership from MVP development through global rollout.
Business Responsibilities
- Lead technology build, evaluate trade-offs, oversee vendors, and deliver capabilities aligned with the business model.
- Work with partners, fintechs, co-creation clients, and business stakeholders to expand products and geographic reach.
- Establish technology operations covering incidents, problems, service levels, and business continuity.
- Provide subject matter leadership across machine learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain, APIs, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps.
Technical Skills
- Expert AWS, cloud-native, elastic infrastructure, .NET, distributed systems, authentication, event processing, message queues, and architecture patterns are required.
- The role requires API and REST integrations, FTP host-to-host exchange, background jobs, event-triggered automation, and asynchronous processing.
- Knowledge of OWASP, secure coding, code scanning, unit testing, dependency management, SQL, DNS, and service discovery is required.
- Extensive DevOps experience, AngularJS, highly available financial systems, and engineering delivery leadership are required.
- ASP.NET Boilerplate, ASPNetZero, ABP.IO, FinTech, blockchain, digital payments, and transaction banking knowledge are beneficial.
Delivery and Governance
- Oversee scrum teams, engineering delivery, sprints, change management, bug fixes, and backlogs.
- Participate in technical hiring, financial-system integrations, and coordination with technology and information security functions.
- Establish risk and control frameworks, escalate weaknesses, and ensure compliance with governance, policies, laws, regulations, and the Code of Conduct.
- Build a motivational culture that supports creativity, execution, and strategic delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 15 years of experience in a similar technology leadership role.
- Deep professional experience in software development and technology delivery.
- Startup and technology-company experience is a major plus.
- Candidates should be curious, creative, able to consider multiple perspectives, and committed to executing effectively.
- ITIL and ISO 27001 experience is advantageous.
