Mesopotamia, meaning "land between the rivers," was a historical region stretching across the fertile plains surrounding and between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.

While modern-day Iraq is often associated with Mesopotamia, the region also encompassed parts of Türkiye (up to Cappadocia), Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iran.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chief Steward based in Doha, Qatar.

The Chief Steward will oversee the cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the kitchen, dining areas, and storage spaces.

Responsibilities include managing inventory of kitchen and cleaning supplies, coordinating with food and beverage teams, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and supervising and training stewarding staff.

The role also involves maintaining efficient workflows to support seamless operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Food & Beverage operations, including knowledge of hygiene, safety standards, and kitchen organization.
  • Proficiency in Training and mentoring stewarding staff on best practices and operational protocols.
  • Knowledge and experience in Food Service operations and adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in the hospitality industry.
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role is preferred.
