Role Overview

  • Arkad is expanding its operations for a strategic, local EPC project in the Abu Dhabi area.
  • We are looking for a high caliber Chief Process Engineer to join us under an Abu Dhabi contractual framework.
  • In this role, you will hold ultimate technical ownership and delivery responsibility for the process engineering scope, defining core guidelines, and acting as the key interface with the Client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all process discipline activities are executed efficiently and cost effectively in line with contract specs, quality standards, and safety/environmental regulations. Lead the Technical Assurance process.
  • Review and formally approve all process outputs, including Heat & Mass Balances, P&IDs, PFDs, UFDs, calculations, reports, process descriptions, data sheets, and procedures.
  • Prepare deliverables planning, monitor progress deviations, implement recovery plans, and strictly track engineering man hours (spent vs. earned mhrs) against the project budget.
  • Actively participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and Risk Assessment studies.
  • Lead the allocated process engineering team. Coordinate engineering subcontractors and interface with technology licensors, technology providers, and main equipment suppliers.
  • Maintain strict interdisciplinary coordination. Provide expert support to the Site Technical Office during the commissioning phases and assist the Bid & Proposal team during tender reviews.

Your Profile

  • 10 15 years of long standing experience in Process Engineering within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Energy EPC projects, with proven technical leadership capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Deep knowledge of international codes and standards (API, ASME, etc.).
  • Advanced proficiency in discipline software tools, including Hysys, process simulators, SPPID, and HTRI.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Recruitment Timeline

  • Phase 1 (Mid July 2026): Preliminary technical screening interviews via remote video call.
  • Phase 2 (Last week of July 2026): Final round of face to face interviews on site in Abu Dhabi.
  • Candidates already located in the UAE or GCC region with immediate availability will be given strong priority.
