Responsibilities
- Ensure all project shipments are dispatched on time and according to project plan, schedule, company procedures, and governmental regulations
- Prepare all necessary administrative transportation documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements and regulations
- Verify vendor certificates and generate/submit documentation for letters of credit to ensure compliance with export and import rules
- Release project shipments to designated Freight Forwarders and provide administrative support in selecting forwarders
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics groups to secure freight quotes, manage transport documentation, and track deliveries
- Manage shipping of hazardous goods in accordance with relevant legislation
- Maintain a traceable archive of all shipping, customs clearance, and delivery documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience in international shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics coordination within EPC, Oil & Gas, Energy, or heavy industrial sectors
- Strong understanding of import/export rules, international customs regulations, IncoTerms, and Letters of Credit documentation
- Foundational knowledge of hazardous goods transport regulations (ADR/IMDG/IATA) is highly regarded
- Fluent written and spoken English

Overview
- Arkad is expanding its project execution team for a strategic EPC project in the Abu Dhabi area and is looking for a hands on Shipping and Logistics Specialist to join under an Abu Dhabi contractual framework.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure all project shipments are dispatched on time and according to project plan, schedule, company procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Prepare all necessary administrative transportation documentation and ensure compliance with project requirements and regulations.
- Verify vendor certificates and generate/submit documentation for letters of credit to ensure compliance with export and import rules.

Your Profile
- Proven experience in international shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics coordination within EPC, Oil & Gas, Energy, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of import/export rules, international customs regulations, IncoTerms, and Letters of Credit documentation.
- Foundational knowledge of hazardous goods transport regulations (ADR/IMDG/IATA) is highly regarded.
- Highly proactive, flexible, and structured problem solver with excellent communication and listening skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.
Recruitment Timeline
- Phase 1 (Immediate / Mid July 2026): Preliminary technical screening interviews via remote video call.
- Phase 2 (Last week of July 2026): Final round of face to face interviews on site in Abu Dhabi.
