Role Description
Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of the organization’s information security and risk management program.
The role is part-time and remote.
Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to integrate security into business processes.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain security policies and standards.
- Oversee application and infrastructure security architecture.
- Coordinate risk assessments and security audits.
- Monitor emerging threats and manage incident response.
- Ensure regulatory and compliance alignment.
- Support business continuity planning and provide security awareness training.
Qualifications
- Strong information security management expertise, including policy development, governance, and risk-based decision making.
- Cybersecurity operations experience covering threat monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Application security proficiency, including secure development lifecycle, code review, and vulnerability remediation.
- Business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or regional equivalents, plus secure cloud and remote work practices.
- Ability to communicate complex security topics and influence senior leadership.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- CISSP, CISM, or equivalent advanced certifications are highly beneficial.
