About the Role

- Manage the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems
- Ensure regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards
- Manage and control heat, light and power and recommend energy conservation methods
- Develop specifications for service contracts and administer contracts
- Distribute preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitor completion
- Oversee maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehicles and recreational facilities
- Develop long term plan for preventative maintenance and asset protection
- Develop project plans for renovation or new construction
- Conduct monthly property inspection to ensure excellent condition
- Manage parts and equipment inventory
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC R/electrical/plumbing
- OR 2 year degree in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 1 year experience in engineering and maintenance; technical training in HVAC R/electrical/plumbing

Job Summary
- Manages all engineering/maintenance operations including building, grounds and physical plant.
- Accountable for budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation.
- Responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements and leading emergency response team.
Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in engineering and maintenance; technical training in HVAC R/electrical/plumbing.
- OR 2 year degree in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics; 1 year experience; technical training in HVAC R/electrical/plumbing.
Core Work Activities

- Contact contractors for bids and supervise construction.
- Build positive relationships with external customers like city building/zoning department.
- Ensure fire crew understands procedures, equipment and alarms.
- Conduct monthly property inspection; inspect guest rooms and common areas.
