Responsibilities
- Ensure all civil engineering activities are executed efficiently and cost effectively in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Act as the technical authority and lead the Technical Assurance process for the assigned project
- Review and formally approve all engineering deliverables issued by the civil discipline
- Prepare deliverables planning and monitor progress deviations, setting up recovery plans as necessary
- Plan discipline engineering man hours and monitor deviations between spent and earned man hours
- Ensure civil engineering is developed with proper coordination among other disciplines
- Ensure sound project quantity estimate and control mechanism, propose optimizations to minimize quantities and costs
- Support Construction Department in Work Requisitions process and assist Site Technical Office during erection and commissioning
- Interact directly with the Client as key technical contact for civil discipline and support Project Management Team in disputes or claims
- Review tender documentation, prepare technical clarification requests, and handle quantity pre calculations during bid phase
Requirements
- Minimum 10 15 years of experience in Civil Engineering specifically dedicated to large EPC or Energy projects
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Deep knowledge of major international Civil and Structural Codes combined with robust structural calculation knowledge
- Fluent written and spoken English

Job Overview
- Arkad is expanding its operations for a strategic, local EPC project in the Abu Dhabi area.
- We are looking for a high caliber Chief Civil Engineer to join us under an Abu Dhabi contractual framework.
- This position focuses strictly on full technical scope execution and project delivery ownership for the assigned project.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure that all activities related to the Civil engineering discipline within the assigned project are efficiently and cost effectively executed.
- Act as the technical authority and lead the Technical Assurance process for the assigned project.
- Review and formally approve all engineering deliverables issued by the civil discipline for the project.
- Prepare the deliverables planning of the civil discipline in line with the project schedule.
- Plan discipline engineering man hours in line with the progress schedule and budget.
- Ensure that civil engineering is developed with proper coordination among other disciplines.
- Ensure a sound, reliable project quantity estimate and control mechanism.
- Support the Construction Department in the Work Requisitions process.
- Interact directly with the Client as the key technical contact person for the civil discipline.

Your Profile
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in Civil Engineering specifically dedicated to large EPC or Energy projects.

- Fluent written and spoken English.
