Chief Accountant

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all company accounting operations.
• Supervise and lead the accounting team and ensure accurate, timely work.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage the General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and inventory.
• Monitor branch sales and POS transactions and reconcile them with the accounting system.
• Review bank reconciliations, cash balances, and daily POS settlements.
• Analyze sales, costs, gross margins, and profitability for management reporting.
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Control expenses and ensure compliance with approved financial policies and procedures.
• Lead monthly and annual closing activities and ensure accurate financial records.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi ZATCA, Zakat, VAT, and other applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required financial records.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience as a Chief Accountant.
• Strong retail-sector experience, including multi-branch retail accounting.
• Knowledge of POS reconciliation, inventory accounting, cost of sales, and gross profit analysis.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Good knowledge of Saudi ZATCA, VAT, and Zakat regulations.
• Strong financial analysis, reporting, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• English is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-branch retail companies or high-volume retail environments is preferred.
• Experience reconciling POS data with accounting or ERP systems is preferred.
• SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification is advantageous.

Compensation

• Pay is SAR 7,500 to SAR 10,000 per month.
