Role Overview

The Accountant is described as a senior-level position overseeing financial activities and accounting functions.

The role manages financial records, regulatory compliance, and financial information for decision-making.

Financial Management

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance and prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Develop budgets and forecasts, monitor performance, analyze variances, and recommend cost controls and revenue improvements.

Accounting Operations

  • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and expense management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

Reporting and Compliance

  • Prepare and present reports, statements, and analysis to management, the board, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
  • Establish internal controls and conduct audits and reviews to identify and mitigate financial risks.

Team and Stakeholder Leadership

  • Manage and develop the accounting team through guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other external parties.

Analysis and Improvement

  • Conduct profitability, cash flow, and financial modelling analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve system capabilities and efficiency.
  • Keep current with accounting regulations, industry trends, and finance best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance role, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Seven years of experience at the same level is required.
  • Arabic and English language ability is required.

Compensation

  • Pay is SAR 3,500–6,500 per month.

Workplace

  • Work location is in person in Riyadh.
  • Applicants must reliably commute to Riyadh or plan to relocate before starting.
