Role Overview
The Chief Accountant is accountable for all aspects of accounting and finance, including financial reporting, cash flow management, year-end audit management, and control procedures.
The role works with finance and operational teams on monthly close, property performance, owner balances, and financial process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute monthly trial balance, balance sheet, and profit and loss close activities.
- Review and approve journal vouchers, balance sheet schedules, and reconciliation statements.
- Review property-level profit and loss performance each month.
- Prepare direct and indirect cash flow statements and analyze cash positions.
- Review amounts due to property owners and resolve financial queries.
- Identify control weaknesses and assist with process enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and senior executives.
Required Qualifications
- Recognized Chartered Accountant qualification.
- At least 3–5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant.
- Strong knowledge of USALI and understanding of IFRS.
- Mandatory knowledge of SUN, Opera, Micros, and FMC hotel applications.
- Advanced Microsoft skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
