Role overview
Perform quality assurance activities for Lubrizol’s Dahej plant.
Ensure adherence to standard procedures and quality and safety standards while supporting rapid issue resolution.
Guide shift teams, minimize deviations, and maintain communication across functions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review SOPs, work instructions, and job aids for quality control processes.
- Perform shift testing and clear incoming, in-process, and final products on time.
- Drive improvements in efficiency, product quality, safety, and cost.
- Manage validation, calibration, and measurement system programs.
- Coordinate shift teams and resolve analytical and process-related challenges.
- Lead quality deviation resolution and report incidents and non-conformances.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Promote safety, quality, and 5S standards and policies.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, polymer science, or chemical engineering.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in the chemical process industry or polymer compounding industry.
- Experience with batch operations and preferably solid or powder material compounding.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of polymer testing, physical property testing, and BIS requirements standards.
- Experience with MS Office, Minitab, SAP QA Module, and LIMS.
- Ability to lead, train, and guide technicians in polymer testing.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and influencing skills.
- Familiarity with 5S, TQM, 7QC tools, and Six Sigma is preferred.
