About the Role
PepsiCo is seeking a Chemist or Microbiologist for its manufacturing plant in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The role involves conducting daily analysis on finished products and raw materials, ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards, and supporting GMP and EHS requirements.

Responsibilities
- Conduct daily analysis on finished products, incoming raw and packaging materials
- Ensure only conforming materials are released and non conforming ones are isolated
- Participate in inspection visits by regulatory authorities
- Ensure GMP is followed by plant personnel
- Participate in monthly food safety audit and support implementation of FS standards
- Maintain safe work environment in labs adhering to SWPs and 5S standards
- Attend sensory evaluation tests and review process and packaging performance
- Monitor production operator's product analysis and take action if necessary
- Communicate results of acceptance and rejections to concerned functions
- Carry out monthly and quarterly in market evaluation of finished products
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science (preferably Chemistry or Food Science)
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Good computer skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- New graduates can apply; experienced chemists in food manufacturing preferred

Job Purpose
- To ensure all manufactured products meet specified PepsiCo and regulatory standards in terms of specification and food safety compliance.
- All PepsiCo Quality and Food Safety system standards are implemented, monitored, audit targets achieved, and relevant plant safety requirements are met.
Principal Accountabilities
- Conduct daily analysis on finished products, incoming raw and packaging materials.
- Participate in inspection visits by regulatory authorities.
- Ensure GMP is followed by plant personnel.
- Participate in monthly Food safety audit.
- Sustain safe work environment in labs by adhering to SWPs and 5S.
- Attend Sensory evaluation test (Quality wall) during shift.
- Monitor production operator's product analysis and evaluation.
- Communicate timely results of acceptance and rejections of RMPM.
- Take immediate action in case of noncompliance.
- Coordinate corrective action with concerned team leaders.
- Carry out monthly and quarterly in market evaluation of finished products.
- Participate in internal and external proficiency test.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in science (preferably Chemistry / Food Science).
- Excellent command over written and spoken English.
- Good computer skill with excellent knowledge of MS words, Excel and Power point.
- Newly graduate can apply; experienced chemists in food manufacturing plant preferred.
- Competencies: ability to communicate cross functionally, analyze data, be a team player, self motivated.
