Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of chemical and petrochemical products
- Ensure proper segregation, labeling, and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with international standards
- Conduct risk assessments, implement safety protocols, and lead incident investigations
- Optimize warehouse layout, inventory management systems, and material flow using engineering principles
- Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, and implementation of ERP/WMS systems
- Coordinate with production, procurement, logistics, and quality teams to ensure timely and compliant material availability
- Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Monitor environmental controls for sensitive chemical products and troubleshoot technical issues
- Train and supervise warehouse staff on safe chemical handling, PPE usage, emergency response, and engineering best practices
- Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, accuracy, safety incidents, and operational efficiency
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process automation, lean warehousing techniques, and sustainability efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petrochemical Engineering, or closely related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or plant operations within chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, or related process industries
- Strong understanding of chemical properties, compatibility, reactivity, and safe handling practices
- Proven knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, IMDG, ISO 14001, etc.)
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software (e.g., Tally), and inventory optimization tools
- Certification in hazardous materials handling (e.g., HAZMAT, forklift, or relevant safety certifications) is highly preferred

- The ideal candidate will support daily warehouse operations and leverage their engineering knowledge to improve processes, mitigate risks, and maintain the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
