Position Summary
Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods in accordance with recipes, quality standards, and presentation requirements.
Monitor food preparation quality and quantity while supporting kitchen and food and beverage service operations.
Culinary Responsibilities
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Thaw frozen food in refrigerated storage and maintain food logs.
- Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food.
- Communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
- Inform the Chef about excess food for daily specials and service staff about menu specials and unavailable items.
Team and Compliance Duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and address guest service needs.
- Maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and uphold quality expectations and standards.
