Position Summary
The Order Taker receives in-room dining orders by telephone and coordinates accurate communication with kitchen staff and guests.
The role records orders and payments, handles dietary requests, follows up on delays, and supports guest service standards.
Schedule and Position
- The schedule is full time.
- The position is classified as non-management.
- The role is located at DIFC off Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Order and Guest Support
- Take room service orders over the telephone.
- Answer questions about menu selections and consult kitchen staff when needed.
- Answer questions about the origin, vintage, and style of wines.
- Place and log call-backs for room service orders.
- Notify guests and management about service delivery delays.
- Communicate meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
Records and Payments
- Maintain clean work areas throughout the day.
- Record transactions in MICROS when orders are taken.
