About the Role
Solu, an AI-powered women's wellness platform, seeks a Fractional CFO & Head of Investor Relations to lead financial modeling and fundraising. This equity-only role involves building financial models, managing investor relations, and closing an angel round for a pre-revenue startup in Dubai.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Solu's full financial model: P&L, cash flow, burn rate, and unit economics
- Develop a defensible pre revenue valuation framework backed by comparable transactions and market data
- Produce a granular budget breakdown for the $500K raise
- Lead the close of the current $500K angel round (SAFE Note, August 25, 2026 target)
- Build and manage the investor CRM pipeline — outreach, follow up, and conversion
- Activate your personal network of angels, family offices, and early stage investors
- Prepare and coach CEO for investor meetings
- Manage all investor communications post commitment through to Seed
- Identify and document known financial risks, known unknowns, and structural vulnerabilities
- Ensure the funding structure (SAFE Note terms, valuation cap, discount rate, ESOP) is airtight
Requirements
- Proven track record of closing funding rounds at the angel or seed stage inside a startup (non negotiable)
- An active network of investors: angels, family offices, early stage VCs with MENA or healthtech exposure
- Strong financial modelling skills — can build from scratch
- Experience with SAFE Notes, convertible instruments, and early stage valuation methodologies
- Ability to translate complex financials into compelling investor narratives
- Based in or with strong ties to the UAE / GCC ecosystem preferred

What You'll Own
- Financial modelling & strategy: Build and maintain Solu's full financial model.
- Develop a defensible pre revenue valuation framework.

- Investor relations & fundraising: Lead the close of the current $500K angel round.
- Build and manage the investor CRM pipeline.
- Activate your personal network of angels, family offices, and early stage investors.

- Manage all investor communications post commitment through to Seed.
- Risk & compliance (financial): Identify and document known financial risks.
- Ensure the funding structure is airtight.
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record of closing funding rounds at the angel or seed stage inside a startup: this is non negotiable.
- An active network of investors you can call on: angels, family offices, early stage VCs with MENA or healthtech exposure.
- Strong financial modelling skills — you can build from scratch, not just maintain someone else's model.
- Experience with SAFE Notes, convertible instruments, and early stage valuation methodologies.
- Ability to translate complex financials into compelling investor narratives.
- Based in or with strong ties to the UAE / GCC ecosystem preferred.
- Healthtech, femtech, or consumer app experience is a strong plus.
Compensation
- This is an equity only role structured for someone who believes in the outcome.
- 0.5% equity in Solu (same structure as the rest of the founding team, same vesting terms).
- 2% success fee on all capital raised through your efforts.
- Salary triggers at the Seed round alongside the rest of the team.
