Tamara Polyclinics is seeking a mid-level Certified Medical Coder for its outpatient healthcare center in Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi.

The role owns day-to-day coding accuracy and supports audit and KPI reporting readiness with clinical and revenue cycle teams.

About Tamara Polyclinics

Tamara Polyclinics is part of Tamara for Medical Facilities Management and operates as an outpatient healthcare center in Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi.

The clinic expects coding, claims accuracy, and regulatory audit readiness to meet Abu Dhabi Department of Health standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate outpatient clinical coding in line with DOH Abu Dhabi coding standards and Shafafiya submission requirements.
  • Prepare claims samples, documentation, and coding evidence for the annual Tasneef JAWDA Data Certification audit.
  • Support JAWDA KPI data collection, validation, and quarterly submission using raw data and prior submissions.
  • Review and correct coding discrepancies identified during internal pre-audit checks or Tasneef re-audit findings.
  • Track coding-related denial trends and claims accuracy metrics and flag audit-readiness risks early.
  • Stay current on DOH standards updates, Shafafiya coding bulletins, and changes to the Tasneef JDC methodology.
  • Coordinate with finance and costing teams when coding data supports DOH Clinical Costing submissions.
  • Provide front-desk or reception coverage when needed.

What You'll Need

  • A recognized medical coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or an equivalent international certification.
  • Proven coding experience in a UAE outpatient or multispecialty healthcare facility, ideally in Abu Dhabi.
  • Direct, hands-on experience preparing for or completing a Tasneef JAWDA Data Certification audit is mandatory.
  • Working knowledge of the JAWDA KPI framework and quarterly reporting cycle.
  • Familiarity with DOH Abu Dhabi Shafafiya standards and claims submission processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work calmly under audit deadlines.
  • Fluent English is required; Arabic is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting DOH Clinical Costing submissions.
  • Experience across different Tasneef claims-volume tiers or in high-volume outpatient coding environments.

Compensation

  • The stated salary is AED 3,500 to AED 6,000 per month, based on experience.

Workplace

  • The work location is in person in Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi.
