The clinic expects coding, claims accuracy, and regulatory audit readiness to meet Abu Dhabi Department of Health standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate outpatient clinical coding in line with DOH Abu Dhabi coding standards and Shafafiya submission requirements.
- Prepare claims samples, documentation, and coding evidence for the annual Tasneef JAWDA Data Certification audit.
- Support JAWDA KPI data collection, validation, and quarterly submission using raw data and prior submissions.
- Review and correct coding discrepancies identified during internal pre-audit checks or Tasneef re-audit findings.
- Track coding-related denial trends and claims accuracy metrics and flag audit-readiness risks early.
- Stay current on DOH standards updates, Shafafiya coding bulletins, and changes to the Tasneef JDC methodology.
- Coordinate with finance and costing teams when coding data supports DOH Clinical Costing submissions.
- Provide front-desk or reception coverage when needed.
What You'll Need
- A recognized medical coding certification such as CPC, CCS, or an equivalent international certification.
- Proven coding experience in a UAE outpatient or multispecialty healthcare facility, ideally in Abu Dhabi.
- Direct, hands-on experience preparing for or completing a Tasneef JAWDA Data Certification audit is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of the JAWDA KPI framework and quarterly reporting cycle.
- Familiarity with DOH Abu Dhabi Shafafiya standards and claims submission processes.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work calmly under audit deadlines.
- Fluent English is required; Arabic is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting DOH Clinical Costing submissions.
- Experience across different Tasneef claims-volume tiers or in high-volume outpatient coding environments.
Compensation
- The stated salary is AED 3,500 to AED 6,000 per month, based on experience.
Workplace
- The work location is in person in Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi.
