Role Overview

Tamara Polyclinics is seeking a detail-driven mid-level medical coder for its outpatient healthcare center in Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi.

The role owns day-to-day coding accuracy and supports audit and KPI reporting readiness with clinical and revenue-cycle teams.

The position reports to Executive Management in a lean, hands-on leadership environment.

Compensation

  • The salary is AED 3,500–6,000 per month based on experience.

Workplace and Employment

  • The role is full-time and performed in person at the Abu Dhabi clinic.
  • The position may include front-desk or reception coverage when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate outpatient coding under DOH Abu Dhabi standards and Shafafiya submission requirements.
  • Prepare claims samples, documentation, and coding evidence for the annual Tasneef JDC audit.
  • Collect, validate, and submit JAWDA KPI data quarterly using raw data and prior submissions.
  • Correct coding discrepancies from internal pre-audit checks or Tasneef re-audit findings.
  • Track denial trends and claims accuracy metrics, and identify audit-readiness risks early.
  • Monitor DOH standards updates, Shafafiya bulletins, and Tasneef JDC methodology changes.
  • Coordinate with finance and costing teams on DOH Clinical Costing submissions.

Required Qualifications

  • A CPC, CCS, or equivalent internationally recognized medical coding certification is required.
  • UAE outpatient or multispecialty healthcare coding experience is required, ideally in Abu Dhabi.
  • Hands-on experience preparing for or completing a Tasneef JAWDA Data Certification audit is mandatory.
  • Working knowledge of the JAWDA KPI framework, quarterly reporting cycle, DOH standards, Shafafiya, and claims processes is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, calm performance under audit deadlines, and fluent English are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Arabic language skills are a plus.
  • Experience supporting DOH Clinical Costing submissions is desirable.
  • Experience across Tasneef claims-volume tiers or in high-volume outpatient coding environments is desirable.
