Job Description Summary
- Responsible for global project control activity and promoting uniform functional specifications and common global processes for project implementation.
- Activities to better understand or ultimately meet customer expectations.
- Influences quality of own work and work of others in the team.
- Performs operational/technical standard tasks, typically subject to instructions and workflows.
- May have flexibility to change order and complete tasks/duties based on changing work situations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Serves as technical lead/manager to determine scope of work and plan/oversee engineering activities for customer projects.
- Provides technical leadership and serves as interface to offer management, cost estimation, partners, customers, GE Vernova Product Engineering, procurement, and engineering subcontractors.
- Expands knowledge of own technical discipline to implement policies/strategies.
- May involve support roles with specialized technical knowledge area; ongoing acquisition of higher level knowledge and skills.
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- Good knowledge of how own team's work integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework.
- Solves problems requiring good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
- Consults higher level team members on issues outside defined instructions/parameters.
- Requires good interpersonal skills and may need to lead a junior team.
- Develops strong customer relationships and serves as interface between customers and GE Vernova.
- Explains technical information to others.
Basic Qualifications
- This role requires basic experience. Knowledge level comparable to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma with equivalent experience).
