Job Description Summary
- Holds overall project control activity and defines consistent functional specifications and common global processes for project implementation.
- Activities carried out to better understand or ultimately meet customer expectations.
- Influences the quality of own work and the work of team colleagues.
- Executes standard operational/technical tasks generally subject to instructions and professional routines.
- Some latitude is given to reorganize the order of tasks based on changing business situations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Serves as manager/technical lead to develop scope of work, set planning and control engineering activities for customer projects.
- Provides technical leadership and interface with proposal management, cost estimation, partners, clients, GE Vernova Product Engineering, procurement, and engineering subcontractors.
- Expands knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles in specialized technical knowledge areas.
- Basic understanding of key operational factors; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- Good understanding of how own team's work integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework.
- Solves problems in situations that require good technical knowledge and discernment according to established procedures.
- Consults more experienced team members for issues outside instructions and/or defined parameters.
- Requires good interpersonal relationships and may be required to lead a junior team.
- For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as interface between customer and GE Vernova.
- Explains technical information to colleagues.
Basic Qualifications
- For roles outside the US This role requires basic experience in the function and digital audio workstation. Knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university (or a bachelor's degree with experience in a relevant field).
- For roles in the US Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (or high school diploma and/or GED with at least 2 years of experience in the function).
