Job Description Summary
- All resources and logistics required to perform service and maintenance work on site/at customer premises.
- Activities help maintain, repair, and overhaul sold or existing products.
- Includes all types of maintenance services (preventive and corrective), management of maintenance facilities, and field service engineering.
Roles and Responsibilities
- All activities related to testing and validation of equipment, facility, or plant according to design objectives or specifications for operational use.
- Includes performance services, performance tests.
- Expanding knowledge of own technical discipline to implement policies/strategies.
- May involve support roles with specialized technical knowledge area; ongoing acquisition of higher level knowledge and skills.
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- Good knowledge of how own team's work integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework.
- Solves problems in situations requiring good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
- Consults higher level team members on issues outside defined instructions/parameters.
- Requires good interpersonal skills and may be necessary to lead a junior team.
- Develops strong customer relationships and serves as interface between customers and GE Vernova.
- Explains technical information to others.
Basic Qualifications
- This role requires basic experience. Knowledge level comparable to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma with equivalent experience).
