Job Description

  • We are looking for outstanding teachers who are excited to join our world class schools and are driven to provide education at an exceptional level.
  • GEMS teachers enjoy an enriching school environment in which to deliver a dynamic and creative curriculum to motivated students.
  • We are interested in teachers with CBSE/ICSE/IB school teaching experience.

Qualifications

  • KG/Primary/Secondary: Bachelors in Arts/Science along with Bachelors in Education, both degrees in the same teaching subject (e.g., BA + B.Ed or B.Sc + B.Ed). None of the above degrees must be through distance, correspondence or from an open university.
  • Senior Secondary: Bachelors & Masters in Arts or Science along with Bachelors in Education, degrees should be in the same teaching subject (e.g., BA & MA + B.Ed or B.Sc & M.Sc + B.Ed). None of the above degrees must be through distance, correspondence or from an open university.
  • Specialist subjects teachers (Dance, Music, Special Education Needs, Art, French, etc.) require a specialist qualification in the teaching subject.
  • 2 years of school teaching experience required for all of the above.
  • KG (Sharjah only): Bachelors in Arts/Science + Bachelor of Education + 1 year diploma in Early Years/Montessori. None of the above degrees must be through distance, correspondence or from an open university.

Skills

  • The teaching subject & qualification should match.
  • Experience of the CBSE/ICSE/IB curriculum is preferred.
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.
  • An excellent team player both within the department and across phases.
  • Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents.
  • Good command of English.
