Role Description

We are currently seeking a Cashier to join our team at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre in Sharjah.

This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for ensuring the safekeeping, receipt, and disbursement of cash and other payment transactions related to company operations.

The role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to financial procedures, and the ability to maintain accurate records in line with organizational SOPs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle cash, credit card, and cheque transactions with customers accurately.
  • Ensure proper receipt, disbursement, and safekeeping of cash in line with company procedures.
  • Record all transactions in the ERP system and maintain accurate cashiering reports.
  • Prepare daily cashier reports, reconcile cash balances, and process bank deposits.
  • Issue receipts for payments and upload new contracts in the ERP system after initial payments.
  • Manage petty cash reimbursements and prepare related vouchers in accordance with SOPs.
  • Prepare vendor payments and cheques as per due dates and approved statements.
  • Verify daily credit card transactions and merchant reports.
  • Safeguard undeposited cash and ensure proper security of the company safe.
  • Report any discrepancies in receipts or payments to the Line Manager.
  • Perform additional tasks and support finance operations as assigned by the Finance Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting or cashiering experience, preferably in the Middle East.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow financial procedures and maintain confidentiality.
