Job Summary
Handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently in a building materials company.
Process payments, issue invoices, maintain records, and provide customer service while following company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process customer payments by cash, credit, debit, and bank transfer.
- Issue receipts, invoices, and payment acknowledgments.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Handle billing for building materials such as cement, steel, tiles, and hardware.
- Ensure proper pricing and quantity are reflected in invoices.
- Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Coordinate with sales and warehouse teams regarding orders and deliveries.
- Assist customers with billing and payment inquiries.
- Report discrepancies or issues to management immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter.
- Follow company policies and financial procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with invoicing software.
- Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
