- Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine dimensions and materials required
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials accurately
- Construct, install, and repair building frameworks, walls, floors, door frames, and other structures
- Assemble and secure frameworks and fixtures such as windows, doorways, cabinetry, stairs, and roofing
- Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery proficiently and safely
- Ensure work is in compliance with local building codes, regulations, and project standards
- Collaborate with project managers, other trades, and team members to ensure timely project completion
- Conduct repairs and maintenance as needed on existing structures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter
- Completion of an apprenticeship or vocational training is preferred
- Proficiency in carpentry techniques and materials, including wood, metal, and other construction materials
- Ability to interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
- Ability to measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials accurately
- Proficient and safe use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery
