Job Overview
- Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nursing Staff, delivers patient care and service which is safe and timely.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned within scope and ability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Perform manual handling tasks, such as patient transfers and mobility.
- Provide assistive care to tracheostomized patients under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Engage in play activities with pediatric patients under supervision.
- Monitor and promptly report any changes or concerns in patients’ conditions.
- Support patients during physical, occupational, or speech therapy sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms and ensure a safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, provide emotional support.
- Stock patient rooms with appropriate supplies and ensure medical equipment is cleaned.
- Participate in patients' social activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Assist patients and families with housekeeping, laundry, food preparation, and errands.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and initiate assistance.
