Hotel and Department
The position is with The Lana, Dorchester Collection Dubai, in the Food and Beverage division and Restaurant department.
The hotel promotes guest service, employee development, inclusion, teamwork, respect, creativity, and high standards.
Position Overview
The Captain leads restaurant service and supports the team in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The role offers development through the company's learning academy and opportunities to build service and leadership capability.
Guest and Outlet Service
- Manage daily food and beverage outlet operations and warmly greet guests assigned to the restaurant area.
- Present menus, recommend and upsell items, and maintain high guest satisfaction.
- Keep the outlet immaculate and ensure service standards are followed by supporting team members.
Team and Financial Operations
- Train and mentor waiters and lead a passionate service team toward high performance.
- Monitor revenue targets and control beverage and other costs within preset budgets.
- Participate in daily pre-service briefings and coordinate with other departments on hotel operations.
