CAD Design Engineer (Part-time, Remote)

Participate in virtual design and coordination meetings, supporting projects from concept through completion.

Create and update highly accurate CAD drawings, including: System schematics Line and single-line diagrams Rack elevations Room layouts and routing plans

Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and implementation teams to confirm project details and document: Building and room layouts Cable conveyance paths (conduit, tray, raised floor) Power requirements and infrastructure Plenum and non-plenum spaces Signal and transport formats (e.g., 3G, 12G, IP-based systems)

Apply ASG’s drafting standards, cable color codes, labeling, and documentation best practices.

Assist with creating and reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure documentation accuracy.

Conduct quality reviews of designs to catch and correct discrepancies before installation.

Produce installation-ready wire lists, cable pull sheets, and final design packages for multiple teams.

Maintain red-line changes and incorporate field updates to ensure design accuracy.

Support engineering and integration teams, providing solutions to design-related questions throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure all design documentation upholds ASG standards and industry best practices.
