Job Overview

Support the USMTM CITS contract in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Install, maintain, test, document, inspect, and restore structured cabling, fiber optic, copper, telecommunications rooms, racks, pathways, and passive communications infrastructure.

Support secure data, voice, video, network, voice, VTC, and mission communications services.

Installation and Maintenance

  • Install, terminate, test, certify, maintain, and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic telecommunications cabling.
  • Install and maintain racks, patch panels, fiber distribution panels, cable managers, ladder racks, grounding, outlets, and related infrastructure.
  • Perform fiber fusion and mechanical splicing, connector termination, cleaning, inspection, testing, and fault isolation.
  • Use cable analyzers, OTDRs, optical power meters, multimeters, splicing equipment, and other industry-standard tools.
  • Maintain Red and Black signal-distribution systems according to government requirements, BICSI practices, labeling standards, and specifications.
  • Inspect infrastructure, correct discrepancies, initiate work orders, and maintain inspection and continuity records.
  • Troubleshoot physical-layer issues affecting network, voice, VTC, and mission communications services.

Coordination and Documentation

  • Coordinate outside-plant work, subcontractors, facility expansion, office reconfiguration, construction activities, and installation schedules.
  • Create and update AutoCAD drawings, field markups, as-built records, rack elevations, cable schedules, circuit inventories, pathways, and telecommunications-room documentation.
  • Coordinate with Network, Voice, VTC, Systems, Cybersecurity, facility personnel, and government representatives.
  • Support office moves, network extensions, technology refresh, infrastructure modernization, surveys, inspections, audits, and technical assessments.
  • Maintain accountability for tools, test equipment, materials, government-furnished equipment, and consumable supplies.
  • Support preventive maintenance, trouble calls, emergency restoration, and after-hours or on-call response.

Work Conditions

  • Comply with safety, host-nation, access-control, environmental, Red and Black separation, and secure-facility requirements.
  • The position is based in or requires relocation to Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active, in-scope US Government-issued Secret clearance is required.
  • US citizenship is required due to the nature of the work and contract requirements.
  • At least five years of structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, or cable-plant experience is required.
  • Hands-on experience installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting copper and fiber optic cabling is required.
  • Experience using cable-certification and fiber-test equipment and reading or updating telecommunications drawings is required.
  • Working knowledge of structured cabling standards, spaces, racks, pathways, grounding, labeling, and quality control is required.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with technical teams, facility personnel, and subcontractors is required.
  • Strong documentation, safety, communication, and quality-control skills are required.
  • Ability to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is required.

Education and Desired Qualifications

  • An associate's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Information Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field is required; equivalent military training and experience may substitute.
  • BICSI Installer 2 Copper, Installer 2 Optical Fiber, Technician, or RCDD certification is desired.
  • AutoCAD, secure-facility, Red and Black separation, outside-plant, federal telecommunications, OSHA 30, overseas, military communications, and construction-support experience are desired.
