The OpportunityBecome a part of our dynamic Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland.This role presents a unique opportunity to join a highly professional team whilst working on advanced military airlift capabilities such as the prestigious C-17A Globemaster. Structures aircraft and component servicingProvide direction and supervision as necessaryUndertake structures Quality Inspection activitiesEnsuring all maintenance tasks carried out are IAW the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and certified in the maintenance documentationPromoting a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with EH&S policies and proceduresLiaise with 21J Design Organisation and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation in relation to repair design and incorporationBe flexible for dayshift, nightshift and weekend rosters in rotation with other section members Skills and Experience:Certificate IV in Aero skills (Structures)Be able to demonstrate an understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) proceduresHold or be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance of Negative Vetting 1Meet the security requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety proceduresHold a C class driver's license Desirable Criteria:Elevated Work Platform TLILIC2005A or equivalentWork Safely at Heights RIIOHS204A or equivalentComposite repair training IAW DASR 145.A.30(f) AMC1. Composite Specialist Course (216309) or equivalent Adhesive Bonding Techniques (112570)Composite and Bonding recertification - currency within the last 3 years (36 months)Confined Space training Security ClearanceYou will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a government security clearance (NV1) sponsored by BDA. Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for your whole life i.e. birth to present time.
