About the Role
BUYER/PURHCASER (LOCAL HIRE ONLY - QATAR) Location: Qatar (Local Hire) Salary: QAR 4,500 – 5,000 Seaworks is looking for an experienced Buyer to support our marine and offshore operations by handling procurement activities, sourcing suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.

Seaworks is looking for an experienced Buyer to support our marine and offshore operations by handling procurement activities, sourcing suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
Requirements
- Qatar Driving License is mandatory
- Local candidate in Qatar is preferred
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a procurement or buying role
- Marine, Offshore, Oil & Gas, or technical purchasing experience preferred
- Knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing, and vendor management
- Good negotiation and communication skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities (Heavy Equipment, Hydraulic Machines, Metal & Fabrication)
- Source suppliers and obtain competitive quotations
- Prepare and process RFQs, Purchase Orders, and procurement documentation
- Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms with vendors
- Coordinate with operations, technical, and marine teams regarding material requirements
- Ensure timely delivery of spare parts, tools, consumables, and equipment
- Maintain supplier database and vendor relationships
- Track orders and resolve delivery or supply issues
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures and budgets
- Monitor inventory levels and support cost-saving initiatives
- Prepare procurement reports and maintain accurate records
