Role Description
- The Business Intelligence Manager will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of BI solutions that support data driven decision making across student focused initiatives and administrative activities.
- Day to day responsibilities include gathering requirements from stakeholders, translating business needs into data models and dashboards, and ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
- The role involves managing BI tools, optimizing data workflows, and creating clear, actionable reports and visualizations for both technical and non technical audiences.
- The Business Intelligence Manager will also mentor student team members, promote best practices in analytics, and collaborate with cross functional teams to improve performance measurement and strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing concepts, including schema design, data integration, and optimization for analytics.
- Experience designing and maintaining dashboards, with an emphasis on clear visual storytelling and user friendly interfaces.
- Hands on experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms) to build reports and interactive visualizations.
- Familiarity with SQL and basic data querying; experience with ETL processes or data pipelines is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data insights to diverse stakeholders and support informed decision making.
- Organizational and time management skills suited to a part time, on site role, including the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications in BI or analytics are a plus.
- Experience working in educational, student focused, or nonprofit environments is beneficial, as is an interest in mentoring and developing student talent.
