Position Summary
ARES is seeking a seasoned Business Development & Sales Manager to lead sales growth for its physical security portfolio across Saudi Arabia.
The portfolio includes threat assessment, Command and Control systems, Physical Security Information Management, and robotics and autonomy solutions.
The role is based in Riyadh, reports to the Regional President, MENA, and owns relationships with Saudi government agencies and private-sector partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales and business development strategy for physical security, Command and Control, PSIM, robotics, and autonomy solutions.
- Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders at the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Defense, affiliated agencies, and private-sector organizations.
- Own the full sales cycle for government and enterprise opportunities, from prospecting through contract negotiation and closing.
- Navigate Saudi government procurement, tendering, and vendor registration or qualification processes with local partners where required.
- Partner with technical and solutions engineering teams on RFP and RFI responses, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.
- Represent ARES at industry events, exhibitions, and government engagements in Saudi Arabia and internationally as needed.
- Maintain the sales pipeline and forecast, reporting regularly to the Regional President, MENA.
- Provide market intelligence on competitor activity, procurement trends, and emerging opportunities in the Saudi physical security sector.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive, quota-carrying sales or business development experience in Saudi Arabia within the physical security technology sector.
- Demonstrated and verifiable successful sales engagements with Saudi government entities, specifically MOI, MOD, or affiliated departments and agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical discipline.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is mandatory.
- Deep understanding of Saudi government procurement, tendering, and vendor registration or qualification processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Saudi Arabia and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Saudi nationality or valid Saudi work authorization, with an established professional network in the Saudi security sector, is strongly preferred.
- Existing relationships with decision-makers in MOI, MOD, the National Guard, or other Saudi security and defense agencies.
- Experience selling into giga-projects or critical national infrastructure programs aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
- Prior experience representing an international OEM or technology vendor in the Saudi market is preferred.
- An advanced degree or equivalent professional experience is an advantage.
Travel Requirements
- Frequent travel within Saudi Arabia is required to meet clients, partners, and government stakeholders.
- Periodic international travel is required for company meetings, training, and industry events.
