Role Overview
The Business Development Representative is an entry-level sales role responsible for generating new business opportunities.
The role builds sales pipeline by researching prospects, initiating outreach, qualifying leads, and setting meetings for account executives.
Role and Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential customers through market analysis, competitor research, and CRM tools.
- Generate and qualify leads through outbound and inbound methods.
- Initiate contact, present company offerings, and assess prospective client needs.
- Set appointments and schedule meetings for sales executives or account managers.
- Maintain and update lead and activity records in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to reach sales targets.
- Follow up with interested leads and nurture relationships as needed.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions.
- Stay updated on market trends, customer personas, and product developments.
- Provide regular reports on lead generation activities and results.
Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer service.
