Role Overview

  • As a Business Development Officer, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our insurance sales division within the Retail Banking Group.
  • Your primary focus will be to identify and develop new business opportunities, build strong relationships with clients, and increase insurance sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the life insurance sector.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their insurance needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to ensure a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and efficient delivery of insurance products.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on sales activities, pipeline management, and client interactions.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance MashreqBank's presence and reputation.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
  • Uphold MashreqBank's values and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in life insurance sales with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a diverse sales pipeline.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions.
  • A self starter with a results driven mindset and a passion for achieving sales targets.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel as required.
