Pacific National is hiring a Business Development Executive for its Intermodal Sales team.
The permanent full-time opportunity is based in Melbourne or Sydney.
The role identifies new business, reactivates dormant customers, and grows existing accounts through proactive sales activity.
What you will do
- Generate new business through prospecting, outbound sales, and customer engagement.
- Acquire customers, reactivate dormant accounts, and grow existing customer spend.
- Manage a sales pipeline from discovery through revenue generation.
- Develop customer relationships and tailored freight solutions.
- Maintain customer and opportunity records in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Commercial, and Sales teams on onboarding.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity.
- Contribute to revenue, acquisition, and activity targets.
What you will bring
- Sales, business development, internal sales, or outbound customer-facing experience in transport and logistics is required.
- Ability to build relationships, identify opportunities, and convert leads into business outcomes.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer engagement skills.
- Resilience, initiative, and a results-driven mindset.
- Organisation and time management skills for managing competing priorities.
- CRM platform experience, ideally Microsoft Dynamics.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Exposure to transport, logistics, freight, or supply chain industries.
- Desire to learn and build a long-term commercial career.
