Role Overview
GEICO is hiring a Business Applications Developer to develop associate-facing applications that enable business analytics, streamline internal processes, and support business decisions.
The role works with business partners, infrastructure engineers, DevOps, and IT security teams.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into technical design specifications for application changes and new systems.
- Code, debug, test, and document application systems.
- Create, execute, and evaluate application system test plans.
- Configure servers and implement software, services, and platforms that promote application development best practices.
- Create plans for project tasks.
Experience and Qualifications
- At least 1 year of programming experience with SQL, R, Python, or Power BI.
- At least 1 year of full-time relevant work experience in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule from Bethesda, Chicago, or Cleveland.
