About the Role

Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders across telecom domains
- Conduct workshops and interviews with business users to understand reporting and analytical requirements
- Document business processes, functional requirements, and business rules
- Capture business requirements into functional specifications for Data Engineers and BI Developers
- Define source to target mapping requirements and validate data transformations
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Data Modelers to ensure requirements are reflected in design
- Identify data sources, business definitions, KPIs, dimensions, and measures
- Support definition of data quality rules, validation criteria, and reconciliation requirements
- Review ETL mapping documents and ensure business logic is correctly implemented
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios and validating results
- Maintain business glossaries, metadata, and documentation
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, or BI projects
- Strong business analysis and requirement elicitation skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts (Facts, Dimensions, Star Schema, etc.)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience in telecommunications industry is highly preferred

Role Overview
- Seeking an experienced Business Analyst to bridge business and technical teams for a Telecom Data Lakehouse/Data Warehouse implementation.
- Will gather business requirements, analyze telecom processes and data, define business rules, and translate needs into functional specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders across telecom domains (Customer, Billing, CRM, Network, etc.).
- Conduct workshops and interviews with business users to understand reporting, analytical, and operational requirements.
- Document business processes, functional requirements, and business rules.
- Capture business requirements into functional specifications for Data Engineers, Data Modelers, ETL Developers, and BI Developers.
- Define source to target mapping requirements and validate data transformations.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Data Modelers to ensure business requirements are accurately reflected in design.
- Identify data sources, business definitions, KPIs, dimensions, and measures required for reporting and analytics.
- Support the definition of data quality rules, validation criteria, and reconciliation requirements.
- Review ETL mapping documents and ensure business logic is correctly implemented.
- Work closely with Data Engineers during development to clarify business rules and resolve functional issues.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, validating results, and obtaining business sign off.
- Maintain business glossaries, metadata, and documentation.
Requirements
- Strong business analysis and requirement elicitation skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience documenting business requirements and functional specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Understanding of relational databases and SQL.
- Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts (Facts and Dimensions, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, SCD, Data Lineage, Metadata Management, Data Quality).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Preferred: SQL, Data Warehouse/Data Lakehouse architecture, ETL concepts, Data Mapping, Data Quality frameworks, BI and Reporting platforms, Hadoop ecosystem, Hive, Impala, Spark, or cloud data platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, or Business Intelligence projects.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is highly preferred.
