Business Analyst – Data Lakehouse Program

Role Overview

Requirements and Stakeholders

• Gather and document requirements from business, IT, EDM, DWH, data governance, and reporting stakeholders.
• Conduct workshops, translate requirements into functional specifications and user stories, and maintain requirement traceability.

Data Analysis and Modeling

• Analyze source systems, data flows, and business processes.
• Support logical and physical data model validation aligned with FSLDM and FSAS standards.
• Review source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, business logic, business definitions, and data semantics.

Data Quality and Reconciliation

• Define and validate business data quality rules.
• Support profiling, reconciliation, and validation across Source Systems, DWH, EDM, and Data Lakehouse layers.
• Analyze discrepancies and support defect triage, root cause analysis, remediation, and resolution tracking.

Reporting and Testing

• Support mapping of legacy reports to new Gold Layer data structures and validate data readiness for report repointing.
• Prepare and review SIT/UAT scenarios and test cases, coordinate business testing, and support UAT approval.
• Validate functional and data requirements against implemented solutions and support performance and business validation reviews.

Documentation and Governance

• Prepare BRDs, functional specifications, data mapping documents, process flows, and user stories.
• Maintain traceability matrices, issue logs, and decision registers.
• Support data governance, metadata, lineage, compliance initiatives, project governance, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.

Required Experience and Skills

• At least eight years of Business Analysis experience in Banking and Financial Services is required.
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Lakehouse, EDM, reporting ecosystems, FSLDM, FSAS, enterprise data models, and data governance is required.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data reconciliation, data quality, Agile, and Waterfall delivery models is required.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills are required.

Education and Preferred Skills

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is specified.
• Experience with Cloudera, Informatica, Teradata, Denodo, Kafka, or modern Data Lakehouse platforms is preferred.
• Exposure to regulatory reporting, banking data domains, NDMO/NDI compliance, and relevant professional certifications is preferred.

Workplace

• The role is onsite in KSA according to the program requirement.
